Okay, so I got a letter from Dale and he's telling me about this catalog that he can order gloves, coats, hats, socks, etc.. out of. I'm , of course, gonna send some cash so he can get these things, but I'm wondering.... Is there a catalog that I can get and order stuff for him out of it? Does anyone know about this?

Jody, my friend can send me a list of what he wants and where he wants it from. It's faster if I order it for him and they don't take restitution out of it :)

Thank you Soul... I'll ask Dale in my next letter if he can send me a catalog!

Dear Jody,

I do not think they can have anything at Baraga.... In fact, I am a little annoyed right now because I have asked every week if Justin can have anything and they said no, nothing, well come to find out he could have been getting books from Amazon.com.

They keep telling me that he cannot have anything he does not order himself and the only thing he can have sent is money....

Here is the kicker, another way to screw us out of our hard earned money (besides the outrageous phone bills)... Justin said they raised all the prices in the catalog for Christmas...

Some things, in fact, are nearly doubled!!! Guess that just their way of saying Merry Christmas....

Does Dale have a tv? Justin finally got his after waiting for ages for it. He is thrilled with it...... They get about 15 channels, so when he is not working now he can watch tv.... Most of the inmates do not have them, They are $90 for a tiny tv (I think we could get them at kmart for $15-$20) but he is thrilled with it.

One good thing about prison. Things my son used to take for granted he now appreciates so much. I am glad for that... He was too spoiled on the "outs" and now he appreciates the little things. He got a tape player and a cassette tape and you would think he got a brand new car...

Wishing you the best,

Jodi

Hi Jodi...
I thought you had left us... I'm glad to see you back again!

Dale has told me about the outrageous prices in that darned catalog..... I just sent him $100 for Christmas and told him to get some thermals, gloves, etc... but god only knows how far $100 is gonna' go.

Oh, and Justin is lucky! I think Dale only picks up like 12 stations on his tv! :) He said they have specifications on the tv's now. He used to have one, but they made him send it home because it didn't have a place to plug his headphones into it. So, a friend of ours sent him the money last month to buy him another one... and early christmas gift.

It was good hearing from you again. Tell Justin to hang in there, and you do the same, Jodi.

Merry Christmas and be safe,

Dear Jody,

I hope you are well this Christmas season too. I am hoping to go up to Baraga tomorrow night and spend the night and visit him first thing Christmas Eve morning. Then driving back for the family gathering Tuesday night. I am grateful to be able to do so for my husband, god bless him has offered to stay here and do all the cooking in order that my daughter and other son can go and visit Justin. He is not expecting us so I am sure he will be surprised.

Whether you all are together in real life or in spirit this holiday season I wish everyone peace....

Hugs,

Jodi
