Well I have had a horrendous couple of weeks...but i lived to tell he tale. As Jerry says, I have been busier than a 2 headed turtle? Dont understand that one but i AM a city girl... :rolleyes:

Well i have an appointment with the school counselor...Dawn is going back to school! Gonna work for that Bachelors I always wanted. lol The guy said if i get in on Monday he will push the financial aid and i will be able to start in the Fall with my daughter. So we will see what happens with that.

I am having some real financial struggles and they are only going to get harder for me here. I am really having a hard time with the fact that i am not going to be able to afford visits. The longest i have gone between a visit is 4 months and i go every 2-3 months. So either a well paying job that i can use my degree in drops on my lap, or i am just gonna be on "save the house" mode here. If all the fighting i have done in the past 2 years ever pans out, there is a possibility Jerry will be transfered to a level 4 facility by December. I have had no luck thus far... Its just real hard.

But thats where i am at as of late. Hope everyone is well... busy is good right? I hope everyone is enjoying the summer...

Congrats on you going back to school, 2 headed turtle !!! :D So you better get your degree, then get a good job, so all your financial problems will be solved, and your visits will be more often !! :)

Hang in there, financial problems are a real pain in the a** when you have to handle them, but they always end up being solved sooner or later!!! Believe me, I've been there too !!!

I went to school part-time and worked...it took me just under 10 years to finish my degree...it is well worth it today...and it will keep you busy...hope you can still visit...good luck! :thumbsup:

Congratulations! That's great you're going for that bachelors!!!! :) I'm sure the sacrifice will be hard but worth it. I'm also sure that will be hard abot the visits, but hopefully with your degree the money picture will change for the better.

I've been way busy too, which after being unemployed since March is a GREAT thing!!!!!! :D

Dawn, look at the bright side of things. Going back to school is a great thing and what makes it even better is that your kids can find the bathroom on their own and make their owm sandwich. Bills, well they will always be there for you, you just have to decide between a visit and living like the Amish for a couple of weeks. Most schools are pretty good and will give you small jobs between classes and you get a small check each month. When I was in nursing school, my teachers thought the a 3 hour lunch break was good, only during finals did this philosophy apply. I worked in the student union 2 hours a day and each month I got a check for 500 dollars. Needless to say, it helped alot.

Dawn, First Congrats on school. Second, Rottndobelover just reminded me of something. When my mom went to that college, she was a student employee in the library and it helped go towards her books and tuition and such. I was very young then so I don't know if she actually got a check or if they just credited her for the hours she worked. But it could be something to look into if they have something for a couple hours a day or something. You'll find work sweetie, you already have one degree, it just sucks that you haven't been able to find anyting yet, but you will hon.

You have worked so hard, and as your friend, I am so proud of you for all that you do and all that you go through girl. Things will get better, and all will work out all in due time my dear.

WOW LeaAnn you actually SAW a 2 headed turtle in real life??? lol serious genetic issues there. So yea today the thing is i havent gotten mail for a week. When one has no regualr visits, no phone calls and then no mail??? Its hard to hang. I havent worked all week and wanted to go in early today. My boss said not to cuz the dayshift superviser may send me home. I hate the mail issue cuz no matter how hard i try to stay in my ligical mind, my emotional mind does this worry thing. Kinda makes me feel this great emotional imbalance, its like walking around with only one sock on! Thanks for all the kind words of support.
