The Department Corrections is the largest law enforcement agency in the State of Alabama with more than 26-hundred Correctional Officers and 1-thousand non-uniformed support personnel, managing an inmate population exceeding 26,000.
ADOC is charged with the confinement and management of state inmates in a secure and humane environment, while preserving the safety of the public, staff and those incarcerated.
We need your help! The Alabama Department of Corrections has established a toll free telephone number for interested persons to dial regarding employment information. The number to call is 1-866-293-7799. ADOC’s “Hotline Connection” includes information about employment applications, testing procedures and locations, job qualifications, salary and benefit information.
Some benefits include 13 annual and 13 sick leave days per year, health and dental insurance with dependent coverage available, deferred compensation plans, retirement program, survivor’s benefit payment, longevity bonus, state employees credit union, military leave, merit raises and more.
