Does anyone know the exact way to get books sent in? Is it 2 paperbacks per month? My last visit, paperwork was out saying that they lost the contract from Borders and Barnes and Nobles....would like some information please

I go to Walden I think or maybe its B Dalton. I would call and ask before you go, but I know its one of those. As far as I know you can send as many as you want at a time. I think I have sent maybe 2 books and a few mags at the same time. Good Luck.

I was told by corcoran that I can send books in as long as they are from a vendor but not Amazon.com.
Kinda silly eh.
I don't remember how many books I think it's up to 5 per but I would call because every prison is different as I am learning already.
Good luck.

Can you post what you find out? My hubby needs some books but he was unable to receive them because of the lockdown. I think he can get them now. Maybe, I will call tomorrow, then again:rolleyes:, I'll probably forget because I need to get the kids and myself together for visting this weekend. I'd really appreciate it if you'd post any info you may get.
THANKS,
EMMY

My husband is at Corcoran 2 and the mail room told me he could only receive books from Amazon.com but I did send him some from Barnes and Noble and he received them. They can have as many as you want to send at a time. Good Luck!!

:) I send in from Books A Million. The prices are good and they have everything. Up until March we could even send in hardback books and they cut the covers off but now it definitely has to be paperbacks. You can send from most any bookstore as long as it is sent from the bookstore and not by you.
Good luck,

Yes it is for all prisons. All inmates can have books as long as they do not come from the family....has to be from the bookstore or vendor. Usually the guys and girls share the books so they are well read and passed on or go into the libarary. All good causes.
Happy reading,
Momsheart
