I called the parole board to see what they had done to those 2 kids at were all over the news this weekend (Ellison & Collins)...any way...

ya'll know me...I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF...

And I asked our Dear Marti, if they had caught up any on the violent cases....

she said that they were indeed doing better...running 13 months behind Now...she went as far as to say that HB539 was helping a great deal...

anyone else heard anything...Lysbeth...ant it time for ya'll to come up?

Ellison & Collums was denied parole.But Ellison comes back up for parole in 2005.
Collums comes back up in 5 years.Ellison's father said none of the families was hurt as much as his.I have to disagree with that since I know the girls family.

Wow...at least they are catching up...but, still....they SHOULDN'T even be a DAY behind IMO. It's just crazy.... :(

Denise, we are still waiting but some other VO's who are at Easterling who were scheduled the same month as him got notices and/or interviews week before last and got dates for early July so I am guessing late July/early August. Really tho his mom and I are kind of hoping they just lose his file for a while... get some more time between then and the last disciplinary :(

I know my dad has been in since Jan 10 02 and he thought he was suppose to come up this yr sometime. But so far nothing has been said he dont know he did say they were behind. WHich we had a wonderful time down at kilby if that is possible. He got to see his grandson for the first time since he has been born. I have sent him pic but he hasnt seen him and he loved seeing my daughter too she wasnt even walking last time he saw her.Cause of all the mess with miss. But his early release date is june of 2006 so if he is going to come up for parole it should be soon right??

jamie.. you must mean jan 2003, right? my man went up for parole in may and he was due in november 2002... so your dad's should be in the next few weeks!
