you can call the facilty because they are all different including what his stats is. he could be wearing sandals,flip flops,deck shoes,shower shoes/slides. but my experice i had to wear orange sandals and could wear deck shoes that are also orange but needed to order them off commisary. you can also pm me.

The standard in AZ is either flip flops or those orange canvas slip ons. If they want running shoes they have to buy them - I'm not sure what they cost but my guess is around $40? I've read your other posts about him wanting a TV, etc. Please don't beat yourself up over this. He doesn't need running shoes, where's he running too!

Aw, IMissRex, You sound like a real sweetie yourself. I understand how difficult it is to want your loved one to have every comfort item he possibly can. It seems that my brother paid under $30 for his shoes. If you can't afford running shoes, TV, or other things though, don't feel so bad. Your letters and prayers will continue to sustain him.

Since this is right up my line i hope this helps i ran the store at lewis unit and they have to buy there own tennis shoes, they start out at 24$ for the cheap ones all the way up to 48$ for the New Balance low top grey in color the most of the guys bout the New Balance Low top for 42$. Well, here in Wisconsin they get state issued brown leather boots. Some of the facilities are giving them ugly black velcro shoes with clear bottoms on them.

My guy also has tennis shoes & nice shower shoes that I had sent into him. I got them off Eastbay website. They have alot of stuff on there on clearance and I've been able to get him shoes for as little as $20. Ususally, the shoes he does get, everybody is "oooh'ing and aaahhhh'ing" over the cuz they are different anyway. They may not be brand name, but it's better than what he has now!

my fiance was able to buy tennis shoes at douglas-mohave for $44. so they are available -- for a price!
