Hi All, i just had a visit with my fiance, and he started to cry,
he proceeded to tell me that he has hepititis c. he is recieving
interveron treatments , the VA is paying for the treatments i believe, I am so worried about it not working, i don't know what the percentage is on sucess rate, but i know it is low, i am worried that i will lose him before he is out of there. he is
there until 8-04, i wonder if he gets real sick, will they concider early release. the treatment is making him very sick.
i also worry about me and sexually transmission. i have to get tested. there is a slim chance it can be transmitted that way. but i want to be sure. does anyone know anyone who is
alcoholic and has contracted the c virus, i don't think he has any liver damage at this point, at least not that he has said.any similar circumstances. please let me know. i am so worried on our future..........................thank you much

Merilee, I'm sorry to hear about your fiance,be glad he is getting treatment. I believe that alot of people in prison don't. My son being one of them. I know that with treatment and a healty lifestyle one can live a long life. There are alot of support groups on the web that have alot of info.Also there are people on PTO with loved one's with HEP-C. I hope you find the info you need.Also our own Menolly here on PTO knows ALOT about it. Good Luck...
