Convicted Murderer Sentenced
A valley teenager, convicted of murdering a 61-year-old man, has escaped the death penalty. After nine hours of deliberations, jurors sentenced Juan Ramon Moreno to ten years and one day in prison, plus ordered him to pay a 5,000-dollar fine. The judge also assessed 7,600 dollars in restitution for the victim's funeral expenses.
