Does anyone know anything about Rockwell City? My man is in Anamosa right now, but we're looking at him transferring to another facility. We have a little over a year to go before he's eligible for parole and we're trying to find a minimal to medium security facility so it looks better for the parole board. Seeing as Anamosa is maximum, we're not trying to have them send him to a minimum or medium security before paroling him.
If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Tana

Rockwell City is the best facility, at least from MY side of things. They are pretty cool about visits, visits are four hours long there, if I remember correctly. You still have to sit across from him, and the tables are pretty good sized, but they do allow you to hold hands, the usual kiss and hug at the beginning and end of each visit. There are naturally some COs who have to be assholes and once they get "a hard on" for the guy, they can make it tough on you but that is in every facility. What else do you need to know? It's been awhile since he was there, he is in Anamosa now, hoping for a chance to go to Fort Dodge since that is MUCH closer to me. If I can help, let me know. Tana,
I can tell you just about anything you want to know about Rockwell! We just got out of there in January, and still have some friends inside! :) My husband can fill you in on lots of things at the get-together, too! Visits are three hours, but sometimes there are four hour visits. the cos to watch out for: "chuck norris," rita and a couple of others...but for the most part...THEY WERE GREAT! they really were. if he's eligible, he can work outs there. let me know ANYTHING you have a question about, aaron and i will be more than happy to help you out.
love,
Lam
