I had a great visit friday with my boyfriend. It was his birthday, and very depressing to have him away (7 years now) instead of home. The only thing he wanted for his birthday was for me to bring him some food and goodies, so I went ape crazy ata the store the night before I went. I know that package weighed a ton.

It's like a two block walk from where I park to get into the facility. By the time I got there, I felt like my arms were going to fall off. When I got in I told my sweety that his package was probably overweight, and I was sorry in advance if they called him up (they didn't).

He called me tonight absolutely thrilled with all of the stuff I brought him. He laughed and asked me if I've been working out, because he didn't believe I carried all those bags in with me, and I really shouldn't have. If only he knew how far I walked with them! He said there was no way that it was only 35 lbs, but that's what it weighed in at - 35 even.

Anyway, he said the guard that handed him his package smiled at him and said "Here you go, happy birthday".

That just totally made my whole night!

Oh how sweet! I wish we could bring food or packages in to our loved ones in Michigan... I can imagine how much fun it would be to get one ready!

It sounds like you gave your honey a great birthday, even if he wasn't able to be home to celebrate it.
