Since being at PTO, I have tried to get more of us in Arizona involved by having everyone meet in May, by setting up another one, by inviting people to go to the movies or out to eat & I have gotten few responses.
I was just wondering, why do you come here?

Me, I was hoping to make a few friends that knew what I was going through, and to get emotional support, prison information, and help others late at night when I can't sleep!

being so far from him at this time, I use PTO to find out info about goings on at the prison, and to stay on top of any policy changes or incidents
i also check the online az news sites too , he is impressed with all I can know from so far away, he likes that as he knows I can be aware of reasons he might not be able to phone etc

Sigh, to vent my frustration and anger? Maybe that is my main reason?? LOL!

To vent. And get support. Wish I was closer to you Yvonne. You seem like a wonderful person would love to meet you and hang out. And I wish there was some people in Prescott. Sucks being alone. I go to work and doctors appointments and grocery shop lol. And be with my children we go the park. And that is about it. No one to do anything with.

I'm in Colorado and it helps to have people in AZ updating me. Also have met some compassionate friends and would love to meet them sometime. My friend has 7 yrs. to go so I'll be around for awhile. Have gotten good advice on dealing with ADOC.

Trying not to feel so alone in all of this, At first when my son got arrested I felt so alone so helpless. And I felt I was the only person going through this and how I let my son down by being a bad mother! Then for embarrassing my family who works in the police field. I just needed to feel like I was not so alone. That is why I became a member because everybody was so nice to me and gave me hope and the support I needed to make it through another day:>

IMISSREX - I told you, Prescott is NOT that far!! I can always take a day trip up there and hang out with you! Just invite me and we'll set it up!!
Everyone else - this site is my sanity sometimes. I've been having a really rough time lately - not being myself at all (or if I am being me, I certainly don't like who I am very much). Thank you all for your support!!

IF you are into astrology you will understand this but Venus is retrograde and with its recent transit of the sun we are all going to find ourselves a tad more emotional and a tad more sensitive to things,.. it has been going on ( the retro) for a few weeks now and has a bit more to go, but soon we can all be back to normal. it has been a roller coaster year astrologically but it is the year of the monkey in chinese astrology which is a wild year but not a bad year.. just a roller coaster of up and down
hang tough it will pass, jsut remember .. stay strong it will all be ok

I check out the Arizona forum all the time for any updates or changes to the way ADC treats the inmates. Susan, my fiance is in Perrryville and as I live in Virginia (got to work) it helps me keep in touch when I can't visit. I visit 4 times a year (over 3 day weekends) and we talk twice a week ($20 a call). Doesn't seem to be any other men in the Arizona forum even though there's over 2000 women in Perryville. I also check AZCENTRAL and Middle Ground on a regular basis. If you'd like I be willing to meet with some of the members when I fly in next time.

Hi Susan,
Wow that must be hard on you? I hate the phone call's costing so much! thats why I cant get them from my son. I always thought Perryville was a womans prison? I pass it on my way to Lewis on the weekends.

You are so right about not to many men on here. I think men like to act like they have everything under control they dont need support. I think a lot of men hold in there real feelings and would rather not talk about them.
But this is only my view of course:yes:

I visit for sanity purposes. :help:
Yvonne sorry I didn't make the last get together I ended up picking his mom up in northern AZ to visit him (TG~it was one of her last visits before she passed) but if it wasn't for being able to see others are going through similar things I think I would have lost it already. :banghead:
Susan's man~ check out prisoncallsonline it has saved me a fortune (he's in AZ I'm in MN)

I come to PTO in the hopes of meeting other people who are in similar situations as myself. I like to offer support and help if I can, and also would like to receive some. I moved to North Phoenix, and don't really know many people in this area, and would like to get to know some. Especially those who have things in common with me. Also, I am *still* trying to find a way to go see my boyfriend up in St.John's (Winslow's Apache Unit) and looking for a possible carpool/ride. I have a lot of reasons I come here, it would take me all day long to list them all, so I will just say that I think there are a lot of truly beautiful (inside and out) people here, and I would like to get to know them. :)

MY LOVED ONE IS IN SAFFORD AZ, TONTO UNIT WHICH MAKES SENSE TO BE IN THE ARIZONA FORUM. BY THE WAY, PLEASE LOOK AT MY LATEST POST IN THE SPIRITUAL, I COULD USE ARIZONA PRAYERS RIGHT NOW!!!

I came to Arizona PTO, because I work at Florence as a co. I let anyone know what is going on in the inside,as thay can't get what thay need from the outside. I helped a woman the other day trying to find her Brother in-law,because thay moved him and wouldn't tell her, so I found him for her.

I originally came on PTO because I have (3) pp's in different facilities within Arizona, and wanted basic information on visitation, mail, etc. It has become a great support group for me however, as the pal I am closest to at SMU-1 has truly become a good friend and often I seek counsel and advice here concerning my relationship with him. This is a wonderful site.

It has been a while since I have been on here, but I just wanted to be able to talk with others in the same situation as me. I don't really have friends because of my situation. So I would love to get to know and meet new people...

Hello...new here to the AZ forum. I'm also in NM forum as my friend is at PNM. I just thought I'd say HI. I'm in Phoenix close to Avondale. Would like to chat with fellow Arizonans as well. I'm new to this forum, although I've been curious about all the topics and reading people's posts. I like what I see on this awesome site! Bye for now....
