My husband told me he just bought a fan. Now he says he only has $12 on his books. Does anyone know how much these fans really are? Is there any way of keeping track of where their money is spent?

I know this sounds crazy, but my funds are tight and he seems to always need money for something.

Does anyone know how much things cost in there?
How much do YOU think someone should need in a month?

my guy at morey bought his 9 inch fan for just under 21 dollars, it is 20 and change for a fan ,,, he can send you a list of store prices from the prison my man did so now I suggest things for him to buy LOL

I would LOVE to know where all that money goes! I sent him $60 for shoes because he said they cost 40-60? BUT, then he didn't buy them, he said he needed his "smokes". I'm still fuming. I wish I could account for every dollar he spends - because in the back of my mind, I wonder, really, what is it being spent on.

I send him 50-100 a month and it is never enough. How much do you send? Just curious.

Zoe does he roll his smokes? I think its cheaper that way. How about the cost of the 13 inch TV'S I could almost buy a big screen for that much!

Wow do I feel foolish! I send anywhere between $140 to $200 sometimes more each month. His color TV just cost me $220 .. not to mention the extra cash he needed for commissary. I know prices are different from place to place .. but are still rather reasonable under the circumstances. 16oz bottle of soda pop is like 35 cents, big bag of chips are a coupel bucks. Pouch of tobacco is 70 cents ... fan was about $26 .. (trying to remember what he's told me) ... anyway .. we send and send and send .. feeling horrible because they are locked down and we are trying to make life as reasonable comfortable as we can ... I do without alot of things .. send money I don't have to send ... and then squeeze to make it to my next payday. Ahh such is life .. my philosophy is it's only money I'll work and make more! :rolleyes:

And when they do get work !!! .15 cents a hour! I guess they can start a 401 plan(LOL) Lets see how much would you like me to take out a week for your retirement plan????It must be so hard on them to really get out of bed and go work in 110 degree heat for 15 cents a hour

my guy tells me he needs $60 every 2 weeks, which is what i've been sending. he updates me on prices and i trust him to be telling me the truth. i know i would definitely want a tv, walkman, shoes, etc., so i just put myself in his shoes and put the money orders in the mail!

but it gets tough when the phone bills start adding up. i have to remind him not to call so much if he wants money and if he wants me to be able to support our son. they sure are hardheaded though, aren't they!?
