Hello all,
I am new to PTO and hope that you can help me out here.
I have a friend who was just sentenced to 30 months and a dishonerable
discharge...for what really ammounts to some bad debts (checks). The
same judge who handed this down gave another 12 months and a bad
conduct discharge for 4 counts of sodomy and 2 counts of rape!?!?

It is my understanding that the sentence still has to be approved by the
next tier in the process and may still be reduced...but how can I and the
family get this imballance of justice noticed and corrected...there is a 3
year old boy that misses his mother and a deadbeat ex that is trying to
use this situation as a means to take the boy away.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Good question, and good luck, and welcome...I don't have the answer. But I wanted to share an observation my friend made about sentencing and the company he found himself in at the jail- that in some places and situations, women and kids are fair game, but if you separate a man from his money, LOOK OUT!
