KellyDallas 08-18-2006, 10:32 PM My Husband Is At Ccf And They Are All Pretty Cool There Its Not That Strict There. Thank Goodness Cause I Dont Think That I Would Have Ever Made It Through The First Visit. JKB's Girl 08-19-2006, 06:39 AM My Husband Is At Ccf And They Are All Pretty Cool There Its Not That Strict There. Thank Goodness Cause I Dont Think That I Would Have Ever Made It Through The First Visit. Hey Kelly, my guy is at CCF as well. I agree that they are pretty laid back most of the time, thank goodness. Do you visit on the weekend? It would be cool to talk to someone else from PTO while waiting in the lobby. Ronnies Girl 08-20-2006, 08:41 PM I would like to visit with anyone who has loved ones at LCF. I would really like to work out carpooling if we can find each other. I live in Pottawatomie County. Hope to see some of you at that g2g in Sept. Check out the OKIE LOUNGE for more info. Later HUGS Ashly 09-10-2006, 04:28 AM Hi.... My husband just got transferred to Cimarron last Thursday. He doesn't know it, but I will be able to go see him Monday, Sept. 11th. I am so nervous about him being there, with everything that's been going on. I pray I can get in to visit... I haven't ever had to visit a prison before this, so can anyone please offer me up advice? What should I wear? I know the OK County Jail had weird dress codes, we were turned away once because my 9 year old little girl didn't have a bra on... but she doesn't need one. She's still a LITTLE girl... So anything strange I need to be aware of? Someone said something about a roll of quarters for vending machines? Help.... please. Ashly 09-10-2006, 04:29 AM Hi.... JKB's Girl 09-10-2006, 08:54 PM My guy is at Cimarron and visiting so far has been fairly laid back. You will not be able to wear any shoes with anything between the toes, like flip flops. You can call and find out what color tee shirts are allowed. I know no plain black tees, no white tees, no periwinkle tees. No cut off shorts. Nothing real low cut. You will need quarters for the vending machines, pictures have to be paid for in the lobby prior to going into the visiting room. The visiting room itself is pretty small, it can get fairly noisy and there is absolutely nothing for kids to do there. They will hand out dominos or cards. You normally cannot sit side by side, but have to sit across the table from each other. That really sucks. Sometimes we have been able to sit next to each other, but not very often. Other than that, the guards are pretty cool and don't bug us very much. Hope you have a good visit. lkorte1 09-01-2009, 06:36 PM I'm new here so I still have yet to figure out how to post a new topic so I figure this is just as good. I was wondering if anyone else does this... I check the doc website almost every day because here lately every day I look at it the release date is a day sooner than it was the day before. I get two different release dates from people and it's really confusing. The website says one thing and then when I call they say something else. Personally I like it when I call because that date stays the same and is sooner than when I look online. I guess what I'm trying to ask is does anyone know how to check for sure what his actual release date is and do you guys look at his picture on the doc website everyday or am I just a obsessive compulsive freak : ) ghostsbabygirl 09-02-2009, 09:53 AM lkorte1-I will be checking constantly when mine gets moved to DOC. right now i check tulsa county jail website several times a day to make sure he hasn't moved anywhere. I usually can tell where he's at before he has a chance to tell me. LOL! A few days ago I found out who his new cellie was and what his charges were and when he would get out before he ever called. His cellie was impressed since he wasn't even told when his court date was. now that person is gone-traffic costs only. time for me to look for his new cellie. HE! HE! Welcome to PTO! lkorte1 09-02-2009, 07:00 PM Good I'm glad I'm not a freak. I mean if they would give me a straight answer I wouldn't have to. Well thats a lie... I would still have to look at his picture lkorte1 09-03-2009, 03:54 PM Hey all I got a letter today finally and apparently they have been on lockdown for some time. He said the reason was that a screwdriver was missing from the maintainance shed thus the reason for the shakedown. But on the plus side he told me that he was getting out in 2 months!!! Thats 6 months earlier than we had thought. Yay :D ghostsbabygirl 09-04-2009, 04:25 PM lkorte1-congrats on the earlier release date! I already found his new cellie. LOL! You better start your countdown soon. JKB's Girl 09-04-2009, 11:38 PM You are indeed fortunate to not have to spend much time at Cushing as it is not a very pleasant place, they lockdown over the smallest of issues which reflects on an even larger issue and this is how incompetent CCA is. It would be laughable if it were not such a serious issue as the private prison corporations are always looking to sign more states into these contracts. All it means is that they provide less for less. whitewolf2751 09-04-2009, 11:46 PM You are indeed fortunate to not have to spend much time at Cushing as it is not a very pleasant place, they lockdown over the smallest of issues which reflects on an even larger issue and this is how incompetent CCA is. All it means is that they provide less for less. Man is that ever the truth, JKB's Girl! My son is at DCF and they stay so under-staffed all of the time that it takes twice as long to get anything processed. lkorte1 09-05-2009, 06:15 AM I'd have to agree too. Getting answers from them is like pulling teeth and you have a better chance of winning the lottery than having one of them actually call you back when you leave a message. Until recently when I found this site I always thought private prisons were better... you know like a private school, but man was I ever wrong. There was even an article in the paper not too long ago about how private prisons are in in just for the money. |
