Just FYI for anyone who has anyone at BJCC in Alva. Due to the overcrowding situation and them getting a bunch of RID kids a few weeks ago they are making alot of staff changes. Case Managers and Counselors are moving to different units causing Visitation requests and phone approvals to be held up by weeks. Brady has been in 3 months and we just had to start the approval process all over (right before getting approved) because of staff changes. He has a new case manager and counselor who is trying to push them through for us. Just wanted anyone to know who was concerned about getting approved. The good news is they have shortened the program from a year to 9 months so Brady could be coming home in about 6 months!! The bad thing: I haven't seen him or talked to him in over 3 months (thank God for letters), but soon soon I will :)

Yes, the switch all the employees to different departments every three months (give or take) Which really sucks because then you have to put up with another group of idiots and dogs sniffing your crotch. We thought it was going faster too but my brother has had his books returned numerous amounts of times (as have the other guys) for stupid little reasons. He has been in almost exactly 12 months now. He should be getting out in a couple of weeks. Whatever you do, SUPPORT him all you can right now. Their ENTIRE program is breaking each prisoner down and making them feel like scum on a constant daily basis. The 'program' consists of constantly talking about what a loser you are and how wonderful the guards/teachers are. (This is how I understand it anyway). It makes you feel a little helpless over on this side but just remind him that he is a good person and that he will get through it. :) I feel like I could write a book on all the stupid shit they have pulled. They never approved my girls for visits so the time I have got to visit him has been few and far between. Good luck and if you need someone to chat with, I'm here!
I'm rambling!
