The forums are very different than chat! When you post something or start a thread, others come along as they are on line and answer/respond.

We do have a chat room... you can access it by clicking chat on the blue bar toward the top of the page.

Hi winddancer, I am Dawn from MIchigan. Pto is a support group for those that have an association with the prison system. Most of us have loved ones in the system. There is a Canada forum on the homepage for you to possibly get assistance from as well. This perticular forum here is for those that have friends or loved ones with Life Sentences.

The chat room is usually quiet during the day, however its booming at night. Hope this gives you some direction.
