My fiancee is serving 5 years. He said something awhile ago about only serving 85% of that. He says that is 3 1/2 years. Is that true about the 85%? And is that with good behaviour? His plea bargain was for 5 years.

Yes, the 85% is true, on the DOC web-site for AZ they show the earned released early credit day, and then the full sentence release day. Of course, every time they screw up they take days away from the ERCD.

Yes, I believe the 85% "law" is valid.

Years ago, they only had to do 50% of their sentence. Not sure what year they changed that.
