My ex was sent to Oakdale last Tuesday and I haven't heard a word from him. I have written him four letters and nothing. Do they need to wait for a period of time??? If so how long??? :confused:

Hi Gizz :wave: Welcome to Pto BTW!! Does your ex have money on his account? Im pretty sure from what I remember they do get like 2 envelopes a week to write, if they have no money. And on specific days too, so he may have had to wait to get envelopes. And if its only been a week, then hopefully you will be getting a letter soon. I remember my first letter from Oakdale took about a week to get everything rolling. Just keep writing, Im sure he is getting it all. In order for him to call he will have to have money on his account, there is a thread here in the Iowa forum with everything you need to know about that. Oakdale really sucks. When they first get there they are locked down for a few days. He will get an envelope and paper to send info to you. Just be calm. Oakdale is really hard on them so make sure you keep writing him while he is there. After he is transfered your days will be a little brighter. Make sure you send your visitor info too so they can start processing it. My fiance was in Oakdale for 7 weeks. They can't have visits there so make sure you have him send you a form.
