They are having a special "holiday" visit at Lewis on Monday, May 31st! I get to hug & kiss my husband for the first time since December (he's been on non-contact). The visits start at 8AM and last 4 hours. Everybody pray that there are no lockdowns to prevent my visit!! I am sooooo excited.

Thats so kewl. I am so glad for you and that you can give him a hugs and kisses. Wish I could see my sweetie. Think that is alot of our problems. Not seeing him is tearing our relationship apart. Good luck and I will say a prayer that there will be no lockdown.

Cool, Ebontortuga! That's how long it's been since I've seen my man, period (since December)! So I know how hungry ya are for contact! I'd be all jealous and rag on you, but my man has a hearing in about a week and so good chance of getting out June or July...so while I'm waiting impatiently, y'all go on and enjoy that contact!!

The visit went well, but was bitter-sweet. It is so hard to see the kids with him and then walk through those gates with them waving good bye to their daddy. I know what you mean about not seeing him tearing your relationship apart, IMISSREX, I've been dealing with that myself.
I got the picture we took during our visit. It is such a treat to have a picture of him with us. It is so depressing sometimes!
sigh.....
Thank you all for your prayers & support!!

Ebontortuga23,
You are right, a visit is so hard to depart from but hold on to the thought that you did get to have a contact visit. Our son just got transferred yesterday so he can now have contact visits. We have only visited once since he entered the prison system and it was through glass but something was better than not at all. We have, however, done A LOT of County visits I am sure I don't have to say much about that and Sheriff Joe's jails. If you've visited you know exactly what I mean.
I'm kinda nervous about the first contact visit but can't wait.
So glad you and the kids got to see your honey!!! Lockdowns stink!:blah:
Hugs,
Lynn:)

Ebontortuga23.
I am glad the kids got to go with you also, I think the prison needs more games or something for them to do , they can eat only so much candy then they get that sugar rush and they want something more to do ! Anyway I am glad the family got to spend time together! We never truly understand having family together until you dont have it anymore! truly:Patty
