I am outraged!!!!! My fiance wrote me and said that their water had been cut off at Ventress Monday afternoon because the sewage backed up into the water system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe this!!!! Makes you wonder if they made sure the lines were cleaned out before they turned the drinking water back on!!!!! I also heard that the prison staff bring their own water because of the bad water there. This breaks my heart!!!!:cry:

This happened not long ago at one of the other prisons. I can't remember which one. Seem like St. Clair and the employees was told not to drink the water yet the inmates had no choice. They stated it was due to overcrowding in the prison. It's sickening they way they are treated.

boy im glad im getting joe monday, hes a very clean person and cant stand to be in situations like that....im sure it wont come a day sooner for him

This happened at my hunnys prison once too. EVERYONE got sick though, including the guards. So you can bet they fixed it pretty quick. Otherwise, Im sure it would have been going on for a while. Last time I was in the county jail it was overcrowded and we were sleeping on the floor with an overflowing toilet. They didnt fix it the entire time I was in!

angel yes i believe it and yes it was at st.clair and thats not far from me. also makes me wonder how safe our drinking water is being so close. they did test and say its safe but would they say oh its contaminated, i just hope we are not like these people in movies or in anniston who lived right there and died and soe study 20 years later say it was the water

With the overcrowding, All the prisons are subject to these types of problems. There are not built to hold these many people...
