did somebody here hear about phone problems at Holman Correctional Facility?
I friend of mine tried to call me on Wednesday. I heard the recording as usual and after I pressed "0" nothing happend and a few seconds later the recording started again...... strange, isen´t it? After pressing "0" again nothing happend again, it was just silent, I guess they cut the line. The recording was also a little strange, it sounded like the line was very bad.
Anyway, if someone heard about this problems, please let me know. I´m waiting on a call from my friend, but so far I heard nothing........

First of all...WELCOME TO PTO...

My guy is at Bibb, so i don't know anything about the phones at Holman, but it is not unusal for the phones to do that, I know it has happened to me several times over the past few years.

I think that's common in the whole Alabama system once in a while. I haven't had that happen often and have yet for it to happen with a call from Easterling, but it's happened before with calls from Kilby and Limestone, on rare occasions.

I accept calls from Holman and there are often problems.

I have had the phone call cut-off for no particular reason but my caller usually calls right back with no problem, since we are used to these glitches.

I have had them cut-off my call in the middle of a conversation with a recording stating that "custom calling features are not allowed" yet I do not have any custom calling features on my phone.

Hopefully your caller will try again or write to you and tell you he is having a problem for a specific reason. Also, if it rains a lot the phones can go out, but certainly this has not been the case for a while.

There are many insane indiosyncracies with the phones.. they are an eternal problem in one way or another..

thanks for the infos! My friend called me on Friday and we first had the same problems again, but than it was okay. No idea what´s the reason for it, but well, I´m glad that it works now!

welcome to pto Mobby. I'm glad you was able to talk to your friend. the correctional phone system is really bad in most of the institutions.
