It's been a while since we were at Eastern. When we were there it was very relaxed in the visiting room and even outside (to the point you almost forgot where you were until you looked up and saw the wall :haha: ). I haven't been on a trailer but festivals were the same way very relaxed. Hope this info helps you some.

Hi Firstlady, Eastern Cor Fac is actually better than most prisons you hear about. The atmosphere for visiting is relaxed, the CO's are watchful but they don't harrass without reason. I don't know about the festivals but you can bring things in to BBQ on the weekends, you have access to being inside or outside. I believe visitation begins at 8:30 and ends at 3:00. The trailers are being remodeled so for the present they are not available. I hope this info helps.

I was there about a year ago and the trailors were pretty nice. I was able to bring in home cooked food. The CO checking my stuff did not probe too deeply, her respected my privacy. The visiting is okay. They are not too picky, but i know it gets hot in there sometimes and they put on these extremely loud fans which makes it hard to hear each other at times. They do open the outside visiting, try to get a table with a umbrella or else the sun will burn you. Over all it was a pretty decent, maidenheart was right about that.

Thanks Ladies.Of course I don't know where we are headed to next but I do think we will be on the next draft.I think maybe Eastern or Sing Sing will be next.BUT YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WITH THESE PEOPLE. Somebody told me today that Sing Sing trailers are every 6 months, I would fall apart.I'm used to getting every 3 months.

Hi there I dont know much about the maximum facility, Since there are 2 Eastern Annex and Eastern. What I can say about Eastern Annex is that its very relaxing and I have not had any problems with Big Brother. In fact they are very kind. And the facility has barbecues all summer during the visits. *Eastern Annex that is. But i have been on the bus with people who do go there and they say its cool..:D :thumbsup:

I just want to thank everyone for the info also. My man just got transferred yesterday to The Annex from Riverview and the info was helpful.

i do the max. evrey thing is cool. you treat the c/os nice you get the same from most. a few jerks. the bad side the vending machine's suck!!!!!!! i think they are changing venders. dam if it was me, my company that machine would alway be filled, not with crap stuff but food
