Ragland,
I've researched everthing I could find and alabama really doesn't have anything especially for parolees. Maybe this is something I need to invest some time in to see if Colleges will accept parolees and if they can be given a pell grant. all I could find was drug rehab's and or housing. it seems that Ca is the state with the most reentry programs, so maybe i could get with someone there and look into what they are doing for parolees.

sure seems as though it would certainly help some folks coming out of prison to REALLY turn over a new leaf if they could go back and redo somethings they didnt when they were younger, education is allways a plus

I'm still researching your question hon.. I feel strongly about continuing education for everyone most especially these men and women who are reentering society. I believe everyone has a right to education and those who are coming home should be afforded these same rights.. I'll let you know of anything more i come across.
