On July 28th, I am to pick my husband up at the FCI, Cumberland Md, and transport him to the halfway house in Winchester Va, an hour from our home. The problem is, is that we just found out its not a halfway house but a county jail, work release program, where he can ask for furloughts, but out daughter and I can no longer have contact visits, only visits behind a glass. I thought the halfway house was our way of comming back together, and being able to start trying to put our family back together. Has anyone else dealt with this. We were told all along that he would go to a halfway house. He maxs out in Dec, of this year, and this is really a dissappointment. Our only other hope seems to be him finding a job closer to here and asking for home monitoring, and i am sure thats not so easy to get. I guess I just wanated to know if anyone else has encountered this. We had so looked forward to taking out daughter to a facility where dad could play with her, and be close to her. Any input would be great. Thanks, Lisa, Kyla, and Scott
