Thanks Kat, the information was very informative especially the 2nd website. The Sentencing Project's report, THE MEANING OF "LIFE":LONG PRISON SENTENCES IN CONTEXT. It would be a step in the right direction if the government implemented some of the recommendations in that report. Especially the early release for elderly "Lifers" who pose no threat to society. My guy is 60yrs old, multiple health issues, and I don't want him to die in prison.

i have to read it again. Had no time this morning. My guy just got another 25 yrs. for stabbing an inmate :(. There had been 17 yrs. left of the the first one. So he will for sure never go out of prison. He wrote and asked me to "remain as friends". I didnt reply yet. ..

@ ozibelle I fully aggree with u and hope this wont happen to him.

I am sorry to here that about your guy. I guess he needs all the love and support you can give at this time. Tough on you too. Hugs and best wishes to you. As for my guy, well we have one more option to explore. Hopefully it will lead to an earlier release. Also a belief in "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE"!!!!!!! helps! smile!
