Does anyone have any information on this RDAPS drug program? This is what I know, it takes 9 months to complete, you have to move to another unit and it takes some time off of your sentence but I dont know how much time. Also I am wondering how close to your release date do you have to be before you can get in the classes??? I am really praying my husband get in SOON!! Love this site, Love the help.. Hey Tina- what state are you in?

In my boyfriend's case he had to wait until he was 9 months short b/c there were others with an out date before his and also, a year will be taken off his sentence if he passes the program successfully. Yes, he did have to move into another unit and the program is 9 months long. He goes to class mon - fri for 2 hrs. everyday. He just started the program so there's not much I know. So far they have had orientation with people from the halfway house, social security office and I believe he said parole officers as well. They got info on where he will be working once he got home so that they could verify the info and keep in his file for when it's time to leave. Like I said he just started so there's much we don't know yet.
