Well, it took my son 4 months, but most are mainlined in about 60 days from the information I have seen on this site.
No phone calls while in reception.
Visits occur AFTER approved and are one hour behind glass. You must make an appointment 2 days in advance.
They can receive mail and if you call the mail room, they will send you a list of what he can receive via mail. Also, if you do a search on this forum, I believe someone posted the entire list of what is approved for mail some months back.

My boyfriend was in reception from January until April. He has no visits or phone calls the whol time he was there because they where on lock down. You can send them up to 20 envelopes and stamps. I sent him pre-stamped envelopes. You can send up to 2 Bic pens, or 2 pencils. And up to I think 150 pieces of paper. It took my boyfriend about 2 weeks to get a letter from me due to the mail room being so behind. He never got to speak with his counselor while he was there either. The CO's told him to pack up his things one day and they shipped him off. It wasn't until he arrived at his new location that he got to talk to his counselor three weeks later. The address to write a letter there is -
