I have been hearing some good reviews regarding Roake's! Anyone want to pick a day and time to meet and eat?

My schedule is pretty stable for the next three weeks.... College Mon - Thursday, out by 4:00 pm.
And I know weekends are for visiting!!

I have got to get out of this apartment!! Let me know what evenings work best for you!

I'm down for some Roake's!! I get off of work at 4 pm and any night works for me. Except... it can't be next week, because I'm still doing my Atkins stuff for another week and can't have that many carbs yet. LOL!!

Tuesday, May 18th is perfect!!! Should we say after rush-hour traffic? Does 6:30 work or is that still during rush hour? I'm used to Atlanta traffic, so the rush hour here doesn't bother me too much.... LOL!

This Atkins stuff is for the birds, I'm telling ya! Someone brought in maple bars today and my mouth is watering like a fiend. LOL! I swear, I can smell them, and they're halfway across the room.

6:30 works for me!! And having an extra week gives more members a chance to see the post and join us!!

Portland rush hour? Yeah, right. I guess it is all in your perspective! I used to think Seattle's was bad until I lived in the Bay Area!! Got lost once in Los Angeles!!! That was an experience!! LOL

Are you familiar with 99E (McLoughlin) just north of Gladstone? Well, that's where it is at!!! I have no idea! I stole this off another post! I live in Clackamas, so was just going to head south on 99 until I found it!!

ChandaMija... do you read lips or do the ASL?

I think I can still remember some sign, but never knew very much to begin with!!! My niece is fluent in ASL.

What? Am I crazy, Doughsgirl? Well........ (chuckles) Everybody, I could read lips when I am familiar with how your lips move when you talk. But I prefer to communicate using paper & pen and sign language/ASL, tho... :) Can't wait to meet you all! I'm sure you all feel that way about eachother, huh!?

Let's see, I'm 5' 4 1/2" (the half inch is a critical measurement as this makes me taller than my mother) about 115 lbs...I'm brunette with shoulder length hair. I'll probably be wearing a suit of some sort as I'll be coming from work. I'll probably look about 5' 7" because I always wear heals so I don't feel so short :). Maybe we should be like the limo drivers at the airport and hold up a piece of cardboard with the initials PTO on them :)....

If we all go inside and have the "stupid" look on our face - oh ya'll know what I'm talking about....trying to look like we know who were looking for - somewhat trying to look cool, but inside going "I wonder if that's her....no, I wonder if that's her." Hey, this almost feels like a blind date...ladies - I'm not bringing flowers or candy but I will bring a healthy appetite for some foot long coney dogs and hopefully a few jokes to make you laugh.

I would like to take Amtrak up there cuz I ain't driving and taking every rest stop while my son sits in his car seat with nobody paying attention to him.... Doughsgurl, JJT, I and my lil' son all met at Roake's. But we waited and waited for Tinkerpoo! We got really pissed off! Nah, nah, nah! J/K We wondered where Tinkerpoo was cuz we didn't check back in this thread before leaving, so... It was a little awkward but good! :) Hot dogs was okay. We want to plan to getting to GTG and meeting eachother there. However, I want to plan another get-together in Vancouver sometime next month in June 2004 so I'll start a new thread in Washington forum. :) Hope nobody minds, heh.

Chanda... I think a G2G next month is a great idea. If you are going to plan one in the Vancouver area, I still think the Oregon forum is the best place to post it. Most of the WA ladies will find it!! LOL

So... start planning away!!
