i will try to keep this brief...
okay, so lee has only been in prison since september...he got sent back after messing up being in community corrections program...his release date is in july 2005.
he is coming up for a parole hearing on either november 19/20/21. his case manager has told him not to expect anything...it's way too soon for them to grant him anything.
i am wondering if this is, in fact, accurate? all that he has asked me to do is write a letter on his behalf. he is asking his dad to do the same. he is also working on a parole plan with the case manager.
i feel like...we're not doing enough. i want to do more, but i don't know what. should i be there for that day? can i be? i feel really helpless and out of control.
i guess my question is this: am i totally blowing an opportunity by doing so little? and if so, what else can and should i/we do?
thank you so much. i am very worried.
