Another member just posted a thread in the GPT Phones, Mail and Visitation forum stating that her man emailed letting her know that he'll now be able to receive pictures through email and he's pre-paid for 100 pictures.

Has anyone heard about this?

I have not heard of this but have put my feelers out to see what the scoop is. Of course they'd have to pay. This actually surprises me because pictures can be a huge storage concern on a network/server, especially times the number of residents there are in the federal system. If true, another way for the Feds to make money off of us ever growing broke family members. Sorry to be so down on it. I actually think it's a great idea just not having to pay for yet one more thing.

No reason to apologize. It is a great idea, but as you said, just something else for us to pay for.

I was just wanted to ask as I've not heard anything about it. However, another member just posted that her man was told the same thing.

I know with JPay you can send pics. The cost is a stamp. So the original email is a stamp and then each additional picture is another stamp. Videos are 5 stamps.

Nope, nothing I've heard! Guess it would be nice but can see it slowing down the email process even more than the usual hour and twenty minutes they have right now! :(

So has anyone tried the pics thru corrlinks yet? Can we send them?

My LO reports that he has not heard of them allowing attachments to be sent via CorrLinks.

Seems like it would be difficult for the BOP to monitor the photos for appropriateness before viewed/printed. So if I had to guess, I'd say it's not happening.

I just went to the coorlinks web site and they said no pictures. Maybe not updated yet? I don't know

Maybe this whole idea with attaching pics wasn't real to begin with, a false alarm?

Well, utahndolce, considering where the info originated and the way the previous thread turned out, I'm beginning to think that the particular inmate was feeding both women a line of bull.

I have looked every day, there is no option to upload pictures nor has my LO mentioned anything about getting the option to receive them.
