With 864 cells, the facility will have a total building area of approximately 677,000 square feet in a compound plan consisting of one- and two-story program buildings, a Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) factory, and three, four-story general housing buildings enclosed by a continuous secure corridor surrounding an interior compound. In addition, a 27,000 square foot minimum-security prison camp with a rated capacity of 128 inmates and the Central Shared Facilities Warehouse is located outside the USP secure perimeter.
