i wanted to know a little about visits at safford my man is getting transfered there from winslow this week. Is it a good visitation yard ? and also I would like to know if anyone wants to ride share with me from phoenix. and just how long of a drive is it from north Phoenix to safford? hi we just got transfered back home to oregon Yea! but have been to safford for several visits it is 3 hours from phoenix if you go thru globe and 4 if u go hwy 10 thru tucson. The visits are inside a large long room with 3 rows of chairs facing each other. Try to get there before 10 cause that is when count is. The best place to stay all nite i found was the best western on thatcher blvd. If you have anyother questions feel free to send me another p.m.

Hello, well I think it depends if he is actually at Safford, or the Fort Grant Unit. These are 2 different yards. If it is Fort Grant unit I know a little about it. I have been there once to visit my ex husband. But Yes it is about a 3 to 4 hour drive depending on which way you drive. I drove from Casa Grande and it took me about 3 hours maybe a bit more. Hope that helps a little!

Thank-You for the info But yes I know about fort grant I was speaking of safford prison I was told they have inside outside visitation. thats what I was trying to find out and what time visitation starts, and what days. and how the C.O.s are there. and are there different yards in that one area. thanks again toni
