DeniseJ 04-30-2004, 07:40 AM best wishes to you ragland.....DeniseJ ragland 04-30-2004, 10:13 AM i dont know if what im experiencing will help with the next person in my shoes or not so i am going to just tell yall what ive encountered, so far only one person ive dealt with seems to be a moron the others have been overboard nice...i called mr hayes at rapha house and he stated that he needed me to call a ms. dayhood at placement for parole and then to call the prison and have them fax over a physc social assesment form....i called dayhood and she was above and beyond nice, she said that his parole was granted and that all she needs is a letter of acceptance from mr hayes (which he cant accept joe till the prison faxes that paperwork) and then within a week to two weeks joe would be released....so i called the prison and got a hold of mr wilmot (sp?) not the brightest bulb in the house.....he took down all of joes information and said that he would pass it on to mr jenkins, i then asked if this was a form that was allready done or did it need to be done now, he said that it was something that would need to be done and that if joes not called out in the next couple of days that joe needed to request to be called.....i explained that joe cant call me so there is no way for me to know he went on into this spill about why cant he call and i explained that the prices they want me to pay through the phone company are absolutely outrageous and i wont be a part of that gouging (sp?) spree of inmates families,..i didnt think i should have to explain but i did anyway....so i asked when would be a resonable time to expect this form to be completed and he said he couldnt tell me that, i explained that there isnt alot of time to do this in as beds are filling up....he said that mr jenkins would get to it when mr jenkins got to it.....sooooooooo any suggestions on how to speed that proccess up would be greatly appreciated....i did explain that i would call back this afternoon to see if anything had been done he said ok....like he cared...lol DeniseJ 04-30-2004, 10:48 AM well heck...just stay on them...i've learned that they can't eat me or anything...just stay on it, i promise you it will not hurt anyone!! DeniseJ ragland 04-30-2004, 10:51 AM well, is there a way to get in touch with this mr jenkins directly or do i allways have to deal with his croonies?? cember 04-30-2004, 11:31 AM ragland, do you mind if i ask you if joe is a violent offender? just wondering cause of my own man's hearing in about 9 days.... trying to get a feel for their decisions and all ragland 04-30-2004, 11:36 AM nope hes an obstruction of justice offender, take nothing away from the fact that it could very well have been him to be a violent offender though hes just been lucky enough to not get caught, he can be a handful if the wrong person crosses him ragland 05-06-2004, 03:17 PM UPDATE well im totally shocked and amazed that i have yet to encounter things that the rest of yall have with joe getting pushed back further and further with obstacles.....generally thats his luck and mine too but to shed some light on the subject and hopefully give something for others to look forward to i wanted to let yall know what is going on now....as of 5-3-04 mr jenkins faxed over the form to the halfway house and the halfway house denied joe cause it stated he had commited three murders (i laughed so hard) hes not got a violent offense at all....so when i found out today from the director of the halfway house that he was denied due to that and i told him it was incorrect information he said to have mr jenkins call and verify it and he would approve him, jenkins did that, the director then immediately accepted joe and will call today or tommorrow to ms dayhood to let her know of the acceptance....and i spoke to ms dayhood she said if he gets the information to her today that joe will leave ventress on 5-17 and if he calls tommorrow he will leave 5-24 (she did tell me that they only do releases on mondays which was news to me) either way, i think its been going at a much faster pace than i had expected from hearing all the stories on here of them not doing anything on time....they may even allow me to pick him up and take him to the halfway house still waiting on that decision...i hope that the ones that are fixing to go through this will see this as a positive as his parole date was apr 29th so i think that this is moving along at a really high rate of speed!! chins up yall cember 05-06-2004, 03:49 PM it's a good thing you're there to be on top of things! three murder sentences, sheesh. its hard enough getting violent offenders in general paroled, what made them think the parole board would have approved someone with 3x a murder sentence?.. glad to hear theyre finally getting on top of things as far as the timeline is concerned! ragland 05-06-2004, 04:01 PM well the funny part is that joe is the one that filled the form out, the director of the halfway house said these forms are a lil confusing and that he just checked the wrong boxes, i dont understand why they would have the inmate do their own criminal background paperwork anyway...if its up to them they can fudge and get to the halfway house, anyway i think hes getting out at the speed of lightening, funny thing is that about a year ago they had him down for having raped a lil girl in wisconsin....not only can he not tell you where wisconsin is but hes HIGHLY allergic to men that do stuff like they and ive seen what happens to these guys after he catches wind of the fact that they have touched a child in any way.....he had to go through all kinds of stuff including finger printing to prove they had a mix up....so this isnt his first time hearing he has charges hes never been to court on...lol.....im just still in shock that hes getting out so soon and with such ease, this was absolutely the easiest thing ive ever done in my life was get him into a halfway house.....*crossing fingers nothing happens bettween now and then* Sel 05-07-2004, 12:26 AM YAY!!! That's great news!!! Keep us updated, okay! Selena DeniseJ 05-07-2004, 07:36 AM great news |
