Thursdays for non contact 8amto 9am, 9am to 10am and so on and so forth. This is
also for Saturday and Sunday. Reception inmates can have 1 hour behind the glass.
Mainline visiting I believe in from 8am to 2pm, Thursdays, Saturday and Sundays. Unless San Quentin has done away with week day visits, this would be new to me.

My question is are you assiged a particular place or booth or whatever for the non-contact visits when someone's still in reception, or does everyone just wander down the line looking for their person? I am hoping to visit a friend at SQ as soon as I get approved and I'm nervous - I've visited him at County but never visited anyone in prison before and I'm wondering what to expect. I've learned a lot from this site - thanks everyone for helping each other - just shows how strong women really are! :) The silly thing is, I haven't seen him in quite a while, I'm afraid maybe I won't recognize him at first - how embarrassing would that be? :p

I know that you have to call to make an appointment if he is in reception but if he is mainline, like north block or h-unit, the schedule is Friday 1:30p-5:30p, saturday and sunday 7:30a 1:30p
