MCI-Cedar Junction is a maximum security prison for male offenders. MCI-Cedar Junction also houses the Departmental Disciplinary Unit, or DDU.
Visiting periods are 7 days a week:
9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.
10:30 A.M to 11:30 A.M
1:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M
2:30 P.M to 3:30 P.M
6:30 P.M to 7:30 P.M (Tuesdays Only)Family and friends visiting an inmate in General Population must contact the prison to schedule a visit no less than 24 hours before, and no more than 2 weeks in advance. All visits are done on a first come, first serve basis. *To schedule a visit call the facility at (508) 660-8000 Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-11:00AM , 1:00PM-3:45PM, and then 6:00PM-9:00PM.
Inmates are not allowed more than one visiting period per day.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children will not be allowed in unless a original birth certificate or certified copy is presented.
VISITORS DRESS CODE:
The following articles of clothing ARE NOT permitted into the visiting room.
Male Visitors: No blue denim pants, coats or vests. No sweatpants, sweatsuits, black, blue or gray sweatshirts, fatigue, camouflage clothing, shorts, sleeveless shirts, bare midriff, clothing similar to that issued to the inmate, blue chambray shirts.
Female Visitors: No tights, leotards, bodysuits, spandex, sweatsuits, sleeveless garments, halter (tank) tops, clothing that reveals the midriff or exposes the back beyond the upper shoulder area, visible sheer clothing, bathing suits, gym shorts, low cut or revealing clothing, no dresses or skirts (including slits) that are more than 4 inches above the knee, no open pockets, no hairspray cans.
All Visitors: Footwear must be worn, No jewelry other than a wedding ring or medical alert bracelt, one set of earrings, and one religious medal. No ripped clothing. All hairpieces are subject to search.
WEST/EAST WING SEGREGATION UNITS VISITS:
Rules for scheduling visits for inmates in WEST/EAST Segregation units are the same as those of General Population. However, you may only call to schedule the appointment between 3:00PM – 6:00PM daily. When calling, be sure to specifiy you are scheduling a visit for an inmate in Seg.
