The Massachusetts Treatment Center, located within the Bridgewater Correctional Complex is a facility containing both civilly committed and sentenced sex offenders. The mission of the facility is to provide sex offender treatment in a secure setting. The provision of treatment services is administered through a contract with a private not-for-profit organization, Justice Resource Institute. The treatment program design comprises specialized sex offender treatment for the SDP population and Phases I-III of the Department’s Sex Offender Treatment Program as well as the sole Department facility providing Phase IV; the Intensive Sex Offender Treatment Program for the inmate population.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1:00pm – 8:30pm
Saturday 6:00pm – 8:30pm
Sunday 1:00pm – 5:00pm

State Inmate Visiting Schedule
Tuesday and Sunday 6:00pm – 8:30pm
Thursday 1:00pm – 8:30pm
Saturday 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Visitor Processing Periods
12:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.
3:15 p.m. - 3:25 p.m.
5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m

Holiday Visiting
Visits on Holidays will follow the Sunday visiting schedule. Observed Holidays include: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington’s Birthday, Evacuation Day, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Bunker Hill Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Each inmate is allowed to have 4 adult visitors and a reasonable amount of children visit at one time. If the visiting room becomes full, visits which commenced first will be asked to leave, however all visits will be atleast one hour in length.

All visits for inmates housed in the MPU housing must be pre-scheduled at least 24 hours in advanced.

Dress Code
The Following articles of clothing are not allowed in the visiting room:
No blue, black or gray denim pants, coats or vests on males, Females are allowed pants. No dungaree pants, fatigue, camouflage, bare midriffs, muscle shirts, tanks tops, or sleeveless shirts of any kind, no clothing similar to inmates/personnel, double layers, tights, leotards, body suits, hater or tank tops, sleeveless shirts/dresses, bathing suits, low cut or excessively revealing clothing, dresses or skirts (slits) that exceed 2 inches above knee, no wrap around dresses or skirts, tight clothing, no holes in clothing, shorts, sweatpants (suits), sneakers, sandals, open toed shoes, t-shirts, hooded shirts, jackets, neckties, jogging suits of any kind, no jewelry, hair accessories, or elastic waistband of any kind.

Inmate Funds/Property
Funds are to be placed in an envelope with the inmate name and number clearly markede and placed in the box marked “Inmate/Resident Funds” in the lobby. Only documented relatives or friends may drop off funds.

The Sign Shop manufactures standard street signs. A Silk Screen Shop custom manufactures high quality vehicle identifications, decals and silk screening on clothing.

From Boston: Take Route 93 South/Southeast Expressway to the Braintree split at Route 3. Take Routes 128/93. Take Route 24 South to Route 495 South. Take exit 6 (Route 44). Bear right off the exit ramp. At the Middleboro rotary, take Routes 18/28 North. This is Bedford Street. Take a right onto the access road at the Bridgewater Correctional Complex sign.
