I was thinking that we should all have a get together sometime soon maybe this summer. Maybe a bar-b-que or something like that. what do you guys think?

I guess That depends on how many of us decide we want to get together. We have to vote on a location that would be fair to all involved.

I would love to attend a get together my only 2 problems are
1. I live 350 miles from the city and
2. Tito is already home and i am sure he won't be too happy me leaving him home while i hang out in the big city. :P

OK ladies so far all of us would like to meet up. Great!! We all seem to be either in WNY or in the city. So I propose (as long as everone else agrees) that we all meet up in Albany. I THINK that is about an equal distance for everyone. What do you guys think? We would also have to decide when and how long ETC,ETC

ok Guys I got a few question Ideas from another post..........
Here are a few questions:

1st~Who will all come?

2nd~What do we wanna do? Have a picnic, barbeque, meet at a restaurant ,a bar, what?

3rd~When should we do this? I think we should wait for the nicer weather , plus lets give it at least a couple of months to get more time to get more involved, so how bout sometime July or August? I also think it should be on a weekend day, or early evening.

4th~I think we should all state where exactly everyone is from and then go from there, we should pick a spot that is centrally located for us all. Id be willing to drive to wherever (within reason anyway)

Ok guys lets get some input in, lets get this going!!
Once we figure out exactly what it is we want to do we can go from there.

I would love to get together but I won't travel upstate to albany or around there just to meet for a bbq or bar... we would stay overnight I assume at a hotel... plan a picnic for a saturday afternoon? go out to dinner? i don't know if I would drive up or take amtrack....

the furthest I been on a bus ride overnight was to Syracuse...
why doesnt everyone come down to New York City and get a great rate here at the grand hyatt go out around the city... to a bar/dinner/lounge...shopping...

I'm from the Hudson Valley and I'm open to anything- Albany, NYC, camporee or drop-dead formal LOL do we really wanna do that? I think we should consider settings in the light of how much relaxation and conversation they will provide. Chris, the city is beyond cool but it's expensive, you must admit.

it all sounds great I just live in Suffolk County Long Island so i Know its going to be a hike. But I would really love to get togther with poeple who are going through the same sh*t as me. Let me know. Is there any other times you guys get togther?

Albany?... Dont know about that one..... I say we all meet in the city. hang out go to dinner and have drinks and do the tourists thing. Or do you want to send emails to everyone who is willing to go. I would be more comfy in the city.....I know my way around NYC but albany.. Just keep me posted either way.

i can get some girls that go upstate with me on this also....

we can all meet early on a saturday after noon or friday night spend fri and sat night at the hotel. do we all want to hang out and talk about things??? maybe then a picnic at central park or a boat ride to a beach in new jersey for the day and then get back to the city late afternoon and get ready for dinner and drinks??? sunday a picnic in the park or a walk around the city before every one leaves????

Call me lame...I've never been to NYC. I hate crowds and am not comfortable without my car...Any place else is fine (I'm from the Albany area)

The only question and concern I have is what do you consider a "great rate" for a hotel? I only ask because I have yet to find a "cheap" decent hotel in the city. I have to agree about not liking to drive in the city but I will if that is where it ends up being.

i would love to meet others as well. I live in Buffalo and that is 8 hours away from NYC. I am from NYC. Albany, I would be willing to do, since I have a friend in Troy and Kingston, which is not too far, so I'd have a place to stay.

This is a suggestion as an alternative, if those of us absolutely can not hook up from different parts of the state, how about those of us in western/central ny hook up? That way at least some of us can meet?

I'm in Albany and originally from NYC. I want to attend and can stay at a family members house if it's downstate but what about the ladies who don't have family??? NYC is EXPENSIVE and a decent hotel is from cheap. Not to mention food, travel and pocket $$$$.
What about Lake George or Saratoga??? There are things to do upstate as well and they are more economical. But majority rules ...I'm down for whatever.

there arent that many of us on pto that live in ny city, brooklyn or queens.
i wont go up travelling to upstate unless i see my husband so i know for you girls that live up there wont come to ny city cause it is expensive... why dont we plan on a trip in august if people can save some money and we can once just decide when and where.

well ladie...I work for a major hotel chain and i know if we can guarantee them a certain amount of rooms we can get a group rate. So If you want I can do some snooping and see what's ut there.....call me and let me know

if we met in NYC we do not have to stay in hotels in NYC if some have cars or a place for some to stay...outside the city. There are cheap things to do here if you look around....
