Hello. Um, how do I start? Umm, my friend at SRCI just applied to go to the forest camp. If he gets approved, he and some other inmates will leave on May 8th to the camp for 12 weeks. Then they can choose any prison they want to go to afterwards or apply to go into a work-release program. So things are looking really good for him and these other guys. I'm wondering where exactly is the forest camp and is there more than one in Oregon? The funny thing is that my boyfriend's friend is at the forest camp right now and my boyfriend and his friend on the outside plans to sneak in the camp to surprise him. :rolleyes: That's his choice. Heh! Anyway, I'm wondering if the forest camp allows visits? What's it like to be a cherished one of an inmate at the forest camp? Tell me ALL stuff on that since there's NO thread about the forest camp in this Oregon forum. :blah: Soooo......... :p Lova ya and I'll check back in pretty often. :thumbsup:

Maybe someone will be along soon to answer your questions. Have been to the Oregon DOC site.... maybe I'll go take a peak and see if it has any information.

I've never even heard of Forest Camp's in Oregon.... I'm sure they have them somewhere though. Hopefully someone comes along that can give us all some more info...

I wrote my friend and now I'm anxious as it approaches to May 8th! The ironic thing is that May 8th is my current free (got out on 04/14/04) boyfriend's birthday. LOL! I'll come back here and post all infos on the forest camp as my friend writes me something. Hmm, hmm, hmm... Where's the music while we wait? LOL

There is a DOC Forest Work Camp in Tillamook, Oregon, I believe. They do forestry work and fire fighting. That's all I know. Zelda
