Ok I read this little clip of a House Bill up in front of the legislature right now in Virginia called HB838 and it concerns The charge of use of a firearm in commision of a felony. They are trying to get it to where the sentence for this charge, which is an automatic 2 years (maybe3) for this charge, would be run concurrent with another charges sentence time instead of being added to a person's prison sentence. Ok now my husband has two of these charges for the same crime, but somehow that is not double jeorpdy they say, but anywho my question is and I hope someone knows this cause I am no good with this stuff. If this is passed would this take effect for only people who are now convicted or would it affect people in prison already cause I could not find that info anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
