I saw on the DOC site that they were housing minimum security and pre-release? Are they now part of DOC and taking overflow in an effort to overcome overcrowding?

Not sure...just trying to get more information here in the Maryland area in hopes to have a growth spurt for us! They would be part of the DOC as listed on their site.

They were a county detention center...only taking guys getting sentenced to county time previously. I know that there is a huge bed shortage right now for minimum and pre-release status inmates due to a change ( for the better) in the qualifications for status. This has caused a huge increase of inmates needing transfers to lower security prisons and the DOC doesnt have enough housing and bedspace to accomodate them. So it would make sense to utitlize bedspace at county facilities that have the extra space.

Specifically: What medical and psychiatric services can they provide (if any)?

Any information on good time, etc would be very helpful.

I'm being sentenced to 18 months...How long can I expect to serve?
