Hi, I'm wondering where you found the info on Camp Marion. I'm sorry, but it is out dated. For example, visiting is on Sat and Sun 8-3 and Fed Holidays. They do have the drug program. About 20 inmates left for Colorado last winter after completing all their "homework". GED yes, but that's about it. It is a work camp, but due to overcrowding, not everyone gets a job. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions. I'll be at the camp in a couple of weeks.

Put that Friday in by mistake.

So...FPC Marion does ahve the RDAP program now? Very well could be.

Some of the camp inmates will do work for the USP as well.

Could you share your information source if available....we do have a member looking for info on this location.

Thanks Diane

On the BOP website, it list the following locations for the RDAP program in the North Central Region. I even tried to call FPC Marion, but the employee answering the phone was not even aware of what "RDAP" was.

North Central Region

FCI FLORENCE (CO)
FPC FLORENCE (CO)
FPC LEAVENWORTH (KS)
FCI MILAN (MI)

I'm not suprised at the employee saying they did not know what RADP is. The sad truth is the employee may know what RADP is and won't tell you. I've had this happen many many times. Even when the phones have been out, the person answering the phone will say the phones for the inmates are just fine, but then the guys finally call their wives with the truth. I don't understand why it is this way in Marion. I've never experienced this anywhere else. But I do know that my husband tried to get into the drug program but was denied because when he came in he did not use drugs or alcohol. I saw his friends get ready to leave for Colorado and saw the tears in their loved ones eyes because they were going to be so far away. After 16 years I'm still amazed at why their is so much "wierdness" when it comes to telling the truth.

Diane, oops, I goofed. I talked to my husband this morning and asked him if Camp Marion does indeed have RDAP. He said they have a 20 hour program and once completed the guys are transferred to another facility to complete the full program. So sorry.

I did start another thread with the locations BOP site list as having RDAP.
