I just wanted to tell you what my BF wrote to me today...he said that I might not have heard or read about it but more then unusual lifers have been released on parole. One of the reasons for this is that Virginia's federal funding is suppose to expire in 2005, that is next year...so he thinks if any time, this is the best to do something...he is getting a lawyer and hopes this will work out....I just wanted to let you know....I don't really know what it means though...maybe some one can explain this to me...I mean, it sure sounds good to me!!!!!

Anytime lifers can get parole it is GOOD for them to make a new start and for others deserving to possibly get a chance

wow. I wish other states had this problem. I know that the prison system is overcrowded and that they are letting people out (LA county jail lets out hundreds). However, since my man is in a supermax that cannot be filled to capacity, therefore they fill it with people who should not be there, I doubt this will happen for him. Your man should try tho!
