Hi EVERYONE!
Well, here it is...the way too long overdue update. :)
After Aaron came home in January...things have just taken off like you wouldn't believe! He's still working full time and right now is on a job that pays $9 an hour more than what he was making, so that's awesome and all God's doing...I kept praying and then, boom! there it was.
We got married on April 9. I would have told you all sooner, but I got called away when my grandmother passed away the following week. So...you know now. It was a great little ceremony...exactly what I've always wanted! Just family and we wrote some of our own vows and mixed them with the traditional ones. Fun fun.
Aaron is still on work release status, but has moved out of the center and lives in our duplex full-time because he has seven day furloughs...so once a week we hop down to the center and turn in all the paperwork for furloughs. in may he will be eligible for daily reporting status, but that's $200 more and we aren't sure we want to spend that when he is already home, but it would be a few levels up in the freedom category. in july he should be done with work release and go on parole, which will probably last about two years.
Things are just going super and I encourage all of you to hang in there and stay strong!!! Remember this quote by assata shakur, "...if i know anything at all, it's that a wall is just a wall and nothing more at all. it can be broken down."
