Fpc Pensacola is located on a naval training base. Everyone there is assigned a job. Alot of the work is landscaping. There are jobs off grounds as well at the Navy Base.
There are classes that you can take such as computer applications, culinary arts and health wellness, ect..
There are many sports that one can be become involved. Softball, basketball, soccer and volleyball. There is a track for jogging and walking as well as an exercise room.
There are movies shown on friday nights. A library and church services which visitors can attend with you on Sundays.
Visits are on Friday from 5:00pm to 8:30pm. Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. As well as Federal holidays. Vistors are allowed to have a clear purse to hold thier belongings but must be no bigger than 7"X10". You can have pictures taken at visit as well by the inmate purchasing a picture ticket. There is visiting areas outside and inside. Games for the kids and an inmate who on weekends gets kickball game going for the kids
Overall there are very little problems at this camp. Most get along very well.

FPC Pensacola is a nice place. First off its a camp so thats a huge plus. Second, the environment is a place where you would want to do time if you had to. There are alot of things to keep your time occupied, along with lack of stress and politics associated with being at an FCI. Relax, most people at camps are just like you, they just want to go home. And you will most likely see somone go home everyday as I did at the camp I was at.
Can anyone tell me which FPC for male offenders has a good wieght room?

Does anyone know how much time inmates are getting off their sentence for completing the RDAP Program in Pensacola? Word on the street is, they've been pretty backed up & they're only giving out a few months instead of the full years credit. I would like to submit a request for my husband to be transferred there since it is only 30 miles from our home, but if they're backed up on the program I may opt to let him stay in Talladega where I know he can get the year off.
Thanks,
Melissa

I don't know the current answer, i have known people to get a year off from there. It's pretty difficult to make decisions based on "street word" because it is both unreliable and BOP changes are made too often and unpredictably.

As far as weight rooms, not all facilities even havea weight room, so count yourself lucky if you get one that has some sort of equipment.Hve you been designated yet?? you may not get the place you live closest to. my son has a alittle bit of weights outside in weight shed area, nothing like a gym,and you have to take your turn and wait alot......
