Hi.. my friend writes a gentleman who is in Lompoc fed pen...
He sent her an article about how the prison has "become increasingly dangerous".
Now the man is trying to find out more about whats going on there and the reputation of his prison..( I thought that of all people, he should know what goes on inside)..
He asked my friend to do some internet detective work, and since she is computer challenged, I am doing it..
If anyone has any info on or any suggestions where I can find info about its safety..please write me privately...

There has been a lot of talk about this location, but with a new warden in place hopefully everything will start to change! The new warden comes from FCI Beckley, and has done a good job down there!

My friend has been in Lompoc for three years. On an anicdotal level, I know that it is drug ridden. Heroin and needles are easily obtained and with drugs goes violence.

They have recently started down-grading Lompoc from a maximum security prison to a medium one. Many of the "really bad" offenders have been moved to Victorville.

I hope you have luck in your search. I have always felt there was something wrong in there since contriband is so easily obtained.
