Angela K. Knowlton and Kevin P. Miller are proud to announce that they tied the knot. Yup, they really did it!!! The quiet ceremony was held at the Washington County Court House. The ceremony was performed by a very kind stranger arranged by the groom's clergy. Witnesses and attendants of the ceremony were a few guards casually mingling about while on the job. The bride wore an off white simple shirt with cream-colored pants and sensible shoes to accomodate her "delicate condition". The groom wore the standard county issue blaze orange tuxedo. The nuptuals were very short and to the point, but it was all legal, binding, and court ordered! Beautiful rings were exchanged, and a long loving hug and kiss followed. Fortunately no one was allowed to attend who may not have held their peace. May God bless this couple in their new marriage.
I wrote this to my husband just for fun a little while after we were married which was on February 15, 2004. He actually wanted me to send it to our local newspaper to have it published there. I never have because we live in a smaller, traditional like town. They probably would never let it go to press! And that would just upset me more along with all the other things I do not like about the area. Oh, well... I am so happy that I married him and it only bothers me slightly the circumstances that the wedding was under. It's the act not the how and where right? We may do it up again when he gets home which is in 136 days but if not no biggie. I miss him more today than yesterday.
