A Kansas city pharmacists was convicted of diluting life-saving medicine for cancer patients at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Greenville Illinois. He recieved 30 years and he will be doing his time in Greenville as well. I am lost for words. My boyfriend was recently placed there. It's a very scary thing to know that people who have taken oaths to heal the sick is killing them. What is the world coming to when we can't trust our own doctors. Just thought I'd share this with you. My boyfriend is up in age and who knows if he'll get sick. It's heartbreaking to know that he's at a facility where inmates may not be getting proper health treatments. I read earlier that an inmate died if hypothermia. People just don't care anymore. Being in jail gives no one the right to judge or mistreat them.

I don't know that pharmacists take any oaths other than to earn lots of money, but that is certainly a reprehensible act. Unfortunately, it's not an isolated incident- other pharmacists have been prosecuted for the exact same thing in public drug stores, so no one is safe. I do find poetic justice that he will be serving his time among those he may have harmed, or their close friends (they'll probably give him a job in the prison infirmary:rolleyes: !)Now, one bone I must pick with you, Hazelle: you say you are concerned because your boyfriend is"getting up in years", and I see from your other posts that he has hit the ripe old age of 39! OMG- to be that "old" again!!lol!

Medical attention is oftened questioned in Federal Locations, as well as many others.
Glad to atleast here they figured out the problem and dealt with it in a way it should be! Can you imagine how his time will be, inside with those he could have affected! Poor guy, not!
Thanks for sharing, love to hear "federal" news!
