My son has been classified minimum security but understands he has to go to a medium security facility because he is 15 years away from poss parole. Does anyone know about this and have any ideas where he might be placed?? Sure appreciate the support and any information you guys have helped provide for me It makes it alot easier to realize there are nice people in the same situation.

The IDOC website can give you a better idea of what options he has as far as custody levels at the differant prisons. I will tell you that ICC is an option. I think the best thing for him to do is talk to his counsler to find out where he may be able to go.

Are you here in town or out of town? I do know that ICC offers the best visiting schedule of all of them. There visiting is F-M and starts at 8am-3:40pm. The others dont have that many days or that much time per day.
