Inmate escapes, is caught 3 hours later

ATLANTA — A Fayette County man who was serving three to six months at a state probation detention center escaped but was recaptured three hours later.
Larry L. Garner, 39, was on probation for aggravated assault when he jumped a fence during a work detail Tuesday at a Department of Transportation maintenance shop, Corrections Department spokeswoman Scheree Lipscomb said.
Garner was found in woods about three miles away after a search.

all he was doing was 3 to 6 months... come on man!!! why do some people do that?! he must be one of those people who cant see life w/out being in prison.
Now he has another charge to deal with!
I hope his family is dealing with it ok.

That was sooooooo stupid on his part. That kind of time is nothing compared to what our loved ones are doing. I guess he just couldn't handle it, but now he is looking at alot more inside time. These are the kind of people that make it harder on our loved ones that are trying to do their time and come home.
