Does anybody have any information about paroling to another state? Monty and I are considering getting a place in Oklahoma...it is only 35 miles away....but we don't want making parole to be any more difficult than it already is.

All I know is it has to be approved. By the outgoing and incoming parole officers. My husband and I wanted to do that a few years ago before he had gotten out on parole but the officer where his original conviction was denied him. So we never pursued it any further. If he has been on parole before, I would call his previous parole officer and ask, but if he hasn't been on parole I would call the county where the offense took place and talk to a po there. Honestly, from what I've found out, it's up to the po's discretion. It is definately "doable". My husband just isn't liked where he's from (smaller town) and we knew it would be difficult. Good Luck!!
